Being baptized in water is an important step for every Christian.
We are baptized to follow Christ’s example as we strive to model our lives after his. This act of obedience serves as a symbol of our new identity in Christ and as a public declaration of our commitment to living for God.

The early church stands as an example of the importance of committing to the body of Christ in a meaningful way. When individuals repented and professed their faith, they were baptized in water and added to the church, devoting themselves in ways that helped them to serve, grow, and eventually lead.
