Camp 419

Children’s Ministry

LOVE GOD

Our goal is to help kids discover the truth of the Bible in ways that are fun and meaningful using age-specific lessons, activities, and small groups.

LOVE OTHERS

We strive to provide a welcoming space where children can learn and play together — making friendships that will last a lifetime!

LOVE LIFE

Our programming includes crafts, games, music, dancing, and dress-up days regularly. We also host special events like Family Fun Nights, Vacation Bible School, Summer Camp, and more!

We provide 3 unique and age-appropriate environments for your kids.

  • Check-in begins at 9:45a on Sundays and 6:15p on Wednesdays.
  • Snacks are served so please notify the staff at Check-In of any food allergies or preferences.
  • Please arrange for the prompt pickup of children at the end of service/Wednesday night program.
  • To ensure everyone’s safety, we kindly request that when children aren’t checked into Camp419, those in 6th grade and under are supervised by a parent or guardian.

Older children will have the opportunity to participate in a large group celebration, which includes worship, a Bible lesson, prayer time, scripture memorization, offering, games, and Team Time (small group) in the Clubhouse.

The Wednesday night school year curriculum for elementary kids is called “Kids Clubs.” We begin each night as a large group with prayer, music, and pledges to the American flag, Christian flag, and Bible. Then, kids are dismissed to their age-appropriate classes: Mpact Girls Clubs or Royal Rangers.

  • Mpact Girls Clubs provide an environment of support and accountability while helping girls to develop their gifts and abilities. In addition, girls build lifelong relationships with mentors who encourage girls to be spiritual leaders.
    • Daisies Club (Kindergarten)
Each month, the class works on a different badge and Biblical theme. Class time includes a Bible lesson, prayer time, memory verse, music, crafts, activity pages, and playtime. Badges are earned monthly which allows visitors to fit in right away.
    • Prims Club (1st & 2nd Grade)
In the Prims Club, girls find life applications from the Bible stories and biblical principles they learn. The girls work on learning the Prims pledge, motto, memory verse, and colors each week. Prims earn badges through memory verses, bible stories, prayer, and crafts. Badges are earned monthly, which allows visitors to fit in right away.
    • Stars Club (3rd – 5th Grade)
Girls make their way up the Stairway of the Stars Achievement Program as they complete units in the four worlds: The World of Truth (basic Christian doctrine), The World Around You (missions), The World About You (activities), and The World Within You (character development). Memorization, projects, and Bible reading are all a part of completing the achievement program as an Honor Star. Four-week units are supplemented with projects.
  • Royal Rangers is a kids’ club for boys that exists to “evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christ-like men and lifelong servant-leaders.”
    • Ranger Kids (1st & 2nd Grade)
Ranger Kids follow trails to activities and adventures in games, hiking, nature study, crafts, and much more. Best of all, Ranger Kids will be guided along the trail of Bible study and Christian living.
    • Discovery Rangers (3rd – 5th Grade)
Being a Discovery Ranger will give a boy many chances to do new things. He will learn new skills like camping, building models, giving first aid, and cooking, while learning about God and His Word.

Frequently Asked Questions

All Sunday programming is FREE of charge. Our Wednesday evening kids clubs have a small one-time fee per child for the whole school year to cover supplies. Other activities may have a cost upon registration. You can register for Kids Clubs and other events at poplarcreek.org/events.

To attend preschool classes, your child needs to at least be in the process and able to toilet by themselves. No assistance is given. Parents are called out of service/class if their child has an accident or needs toileting assistance. For VBS, every participant must be 3 and potty trained by the start of the event.

We do provide snacks in our nursery, toddler, preschool, and elementary rooms. If your child has a food allergy, it appears on their check-in label, and we do our best to monitor their snacks. The kids’ wing is a peanut-free environment. Students with food allergies are encouraged to bring their own snack.

Camp 419 will have staff available 15 minutes before the start of service or a program where childcare is provided. If you happen to arrive earlier, we appreciate your help in supervising your children until then.

We kindly ask that when the service or event concludes, that you promptly pick up your child(ren) from their class. After that, please feel free to stay and enjoy some social time for as long as you’d like!

Ensuring the safety and security of our children is our utmost priority. To streamline our check-in process and maintain a secure environment, we kindly request that all children from birth through 6th grade be accompanied by a parent or guardian during check-in.

If it’s your first time visiting or if you’re new to our check-in system, please start at the Nursery Check-In counter where one of our volunteers will assist you in registering for the day.

Once your family is registered, future check-ins can be completed independently by using one of the tablets available at the Nursery Check-In counter. Simply enter the last four digits of your phone number and select the children you’re checking in.

Upon check-in, each child will receive a computer-generated name tag for identification purposes. Additionally, accompanying adults will receive a matching ID label with a randomly generated code. This code serves as a link between you and your child during the service, enabling us to reach you promptly in case of an emergency. Please ensure that whoever picks up the child possesses this ID label.

In the event that you misplace the ID label, please notify a Volunteer Team Member at check-out. They will assist you in verifying your identity to ensure a smooth check-out process.

Your cooperation in adhering to these check-in procedures is greatly appreciated as we strive to maintain a safe and loving environment for all our children. Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your precious ones.

At this time, we do not have a department dedicated specifically to children with special needs, but we do our best to meet the needs of every child in our care.
