Ian Zanski has worked in music ministry since he graduated from Wheaton College in 2016. Before his time at Poplar Creek, he led music sets for Holy Trinity Church in Chicago, Crimson Way Church in Elm Grove, and Rhea Briscoe’s Snowdrop Ministries in Pewaukee. Ian went to school for a degree in music composition, which he still uses in his daily life, but he was surprised to discover that God would lead him into ministry on his literal first day as a college graduate. God has been faithful to guide every step, and Ian wants to express his gratitude to the people of Poplar for being the newest and greatest step. He would especially like to thank Kristi Sufferling for connecting him at the perfect time.

In his free time, Ian enjoys working on music for his progressive piano rock band Sapphire Sea, watching films, enjoying quality time with friends and family, and most recently, rock climbing. He is very thankful to be able to say that leading on Sunday mornings is one of the best parts of his week.

Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
